The Park District contractors did a controlled burn along the trail yesterday. When I went over to see the results today, the first thing I noticed (after lots of ashen areas) was lots of trash. And some gang signs painted on trees. I spent several hours collecting trash, filling four big bags. I used some “dune gray” colored solid stain leftover from our house painting last year to blot out the gang signs, in a minimally noticeable way. I was, in fact, really pleased with how my tree painting turned out. Can you see the tagging or over-painting on this tree?
